?Whose Armor Must we put on? ( Ephesians 6:11)

?KJV Ephesians 6
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

✍?We need to put the Armor of the Lord!

?What Must we do inorder to put on the armor of God? ( Rom 13:11-14)

?KJV Romans 13
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

✍? Friends, we must not only put on the armor by confession of sins to Jesus, but we must keep the armor of God. The Bible says that will have on the armor but be defeated and lose the armor!

?What does Luke 11:21 and 22 say?

?
KJV Luke 11
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

?By what process do men lose the Armor of God and are lost? ( Luke 11:24-26, Matt 12:44_)

?️
KJV Luke 11
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

?
KJV Matthew 12
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

?How Does the pen of inspiration magnify this point?

?
There were many in Christ’s day, as there are today, over whom the control of Satan for the time seemed broken; through the grace of God they were set free from the evil spirits that had held dominion over the soul. They rejoiced in the love of God; but, like the stony-ground hearers of the parable, they did not abide in His love. They did not surrender themselves to God daily, that Christ might dwell in the heart; and when the evil spirit returned, with “seven other spirits more wicked than himself,” they were wholly dominated by the power of evil. DA 323.3

✍? Friends, we cannot overcome Satan’s temptations in our armor, nor in the armor or the experience of someone else!

?What did David Say and do when Saul gave him his own armor to face Goliath, the philistine? ( 1 Samuel 17:38,39)

?
KJV 1 Samuel 17
38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

?️One reason why David refused to use Saul’s Armor was because Saul’s armor was unsanctified, at that point Saul had grieved the Holy Spirit. In other words, David could not follow in the sins of Saul and expect the victoy; friends, likewise, we cannot overcome Satan, his tempations and agents, if we, like Saul are rebellious to God!

?️The other reason why David refused to use Saul’s armor was because he had not proven it before. And David’s testimony was that he smote a lion and a bear that arose up against him and took away one of hi father’s sheep. Furthermore, David said the Lord that delivered me in the past will deliver me again..Indeed David was strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, as the Lord instructs us to be in the last days! ( Eph 6:10)

?What was the primary issue in the battle between the Philistines and Israelites? ( 1 Samuel 17:9)

?KJV 1 Samuel 17
9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.

✍?The battle was over worship!

? Friends, as it was then, so also it is today. The final crisis in these last days is over worship ( Rev 14:9-16)

?What did David say into Goliath? ( 1 Samuel 17:45-46)

?KJV 1 Samuel 17
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

?Dear pilgrims, we have to meet Satan, his agents and temptations, daily in the name or in the Character of Jesus in order to be victorious!

What did David use to slay Goliath? ( 1 Samuel 17:50)

?KJV 1 Samuel 17
50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine,? and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

?He used a stone!

✍?The stone represents Jesus, the living stone. ( 1 Peter 2:4,5). The five stones represent the promises of God!

?️As I conclude, this experience of David and Goliath is written for our learning. We should learn not to read difficulties or temptations because they are of of great size and great strength like Goliath. Our victory or defeat will depend entirely on whether we meet the enemy in the name of the Lord!

Be blessed. Stay at the Feet of Jesus.

Till then, as always,

Maranatha!
