? THE GOSPEL NET part 1

?What parable did Jesus put forth in Matt 13:47-50?
KJV Matthew 13
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
?We see, Christ gave the parable of the Net!
?What is the real problem in the last days? ( 2 Timothy 3:1-5)
?KJV 2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
⏬The Bible identifies that in the last days there is going to be a problem in the church. The condition of the Truth is not the issue, the issue is with the people who claim to believe the truth.
✍?Friends, this parable, the parable of the Net teaches us that it is only character that is going to determine if you are saved or lost.
?The parable shows that in the church, there are two groups, the true and false. The big question is which side are you going to be? But God’s desire is that all to be saved!
✍? Since the Net is cast into the Sea. What does the sea symbolise in this parable? ( Psalms 93:3,4, Psalms 65:7, Isa 17:12)

3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
?️KJV Psalms 65
7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
?From the above scriptures, we can deduct that the noise of sea is the tumult of people!
?KJV Isaiah 17
10 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
?Thus sea represents nation’s, people and multitude.
⏭️Thus the net is being cast to the peoples of the world!
What is the Net a symbol of that is being cast to the people of the world? ( Mark 1:16)

16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
✍?We see they cast the net unto the sea to catch fish.
?Since we have identified the sea represent people, then net must be on the mission of catching fish!
Whom does Jesus identify as fish? ( Mark 1:17, Habbakuk 1:13)

17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
?KJV Habakkuk 1
14 And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
?Thus we can deduct that the fish symbolize men.
?The net according to vs 16 is something spiritual or tool that is used to catch men!
What has God given to me which is to be cast to the world to catch men? (Micah 4:1-2)

The Lord Will Teach the Nations
1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
⏭️The reason why the people of the world are coming to God is because the word is preached, the law is exalted.This is what draws men!
What does Paul say calls us? (2 thess 2:14)
?KJV 2 Thessalonians 2
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
✍?Thus the Net is the Gospel!
?The casting of the net is the preaching of the gospel. This gathers both good and evil into the church. COL 122.2
